SEATTLE, Feb 13 — Onvia was named a finalist in the Software & Information Industry Association’s (SIIA) 2008 CODiE Awards for Best Online Directory and Business Leads Service.
Onvia helps companies plan, market and sell with real-time opportunities and historical purchasing data and research. Traditionally known for its government procurement information, Onvia recently expanded its services to deliver hard-to-find information on emerging commercial and residential projects nationwide.
“Every day, Onvia delivers known opportunities to its subscribers, customized to each company’s business needs” said Mike Pickett, CEO of Onvia. “We do the heavy lifting for clients that need new prospects.”
Established in 1986 by SIIA, the CODiE Awards celebrate outstanding achievement and vision in the software, digital information and education technology industries. Onvia won CODiE Awards in two categories in 2006.
“Competition is tough this year and that makes selection as a CODiE Finalist a real achievement,” said Ken Wash, SIIA president. “All the companies on this year’s list should feel justifiably proud of their recognition.”
Finalists were chosen from more than 1,000 nominations submitted by more than 600 companies. For a complete list of the 2008 CODiE Award finalists, please go to: www.siia.net/codies/2008/finalists.asp.
